ARK Noise Control designs and builds purpose-built acoustic test cells for engine testing, equipment qualification, and R&D applications. These test cells provide a controlled acoustic environment that isolates the test specimen from external noise sources while preventing test noise from propagating to surrounding areas. Our test cells are used by leading automotive manufacturers, engine OEMs, and research institutions across India. The design of each acoustic test cell integrates multiple engineering disciplines: structural engineering for vibration isolation and load-bearing capacity, mechanical engineering for ventilation and exhaust systems, electrical engineering for power distribution and data acquisition compatibility, and of course acoustic engineering for optimal sound isolation and internal acoustic treatment. The result is a test environment where accurate, repeatable acoustic and performance measurements can be made. Our test cells feature heavy-duty structural construction with floating floor systems for vibration isolation, acoustically treated walls and ceilings for controlling internal reflections, silenced ventilation systems for combustion air supply and heat removal, and exhaust gas management systems. Every test cell is designed in close collaboration with the client's test engineering team to ensure full compatibility with their data acquisition systems, dynamometers, and testing protocols.
