FEED Study

Front End Engineering Design for Noise Control in New Plant Projects

Overview

About FEED Study

ARK Noise Control offers Front End Engineering Design (FEED) studies for noise control, providing early-stage acoustic engineering input for new plant projects, facility expansions, and equipment replacement programs. By integrating noise control considerations at the FEED stage, clients avoid the significantly higher cost and disruption of retrofitting acoustic solutions after the plant is commissioned. Our FEED studies establish noise control requirements, specify equipment noise limits for procurement, and define the acoustic treatment scope for detailed engineering. Our FEED study deliverables include predicted facility noise levels based on equipment vendor noise data and acoustic modeling, identification of areas requiring noise control treatment, specification of noise emission limits for equipment procurement (to be included in purchase orders and vendor specifications), preliminary design of acoustic enclosures, silencers, barriers, and building treatments, and budget estimates for all recommended noise control measures. We work closely with EPC contractors and owner engineering teams to integrate noise control seamlessly into the overall plant design.
