Silencer for Oxygen & Nitrogen Venting in Stainless Steel MOC
Engineered noise control solutions for oxygen & nitrogen vents — designed, manufactured, and installed by ARK Noise Control (India)
Why Oxygen & Nitrogen Vent Noise Needs Control
Oxygen and nitrogen venting from Air Separation Units (ASUs), gas pipelines, and cryogenic storage generates noise levels of 100-130 dB(A) from high-pressure gas expansion. Oxygen service requires scrupulously clean, oil-free stainless steel construction to prevent ignition risk — standard carbon steel silencers with oil-contaminated absorptive packing are unsuitable and dangerous for oxygen service.

How ARK Solves Oxygen & Nitrogen Vent Noise
ARK manufactures vent silencers for oxygen and nitrogen service in full stainless steel (SS304 / SS316) construction with clean-bore internals. All components are degreased and cleaned to oxygen-service standards. The silencer design uses perforated stainless steel diffuser tubes and stainless steel mesh packing instead of conventional mineral wool, eliminating combustion risk in oxygen-rich environments. Each silencer is pressure-tested and supplied with material certificates and cleaning certificates.
Key Benefits
- Full stainless steel construction (SS304 / SS316) for oxygen compatibility
- Clean-bore, oil-free internals meeting oxygen service cleanliness standards
- Noise reduction of 25 to 40 dB(A) for high-pressure gas venting
- Stainless steel mesh packing — no mineral wool or combustible materials
- Material test certificates and oxygen cleaning certificates provided
- Designed for ASU plants, gas pipelines, cryogenic, and medical gas facilities
